It’s Our Time! A Collective Call to Act
September 30 - October 3, 2010
See Possibilities. Seek Opportunities. Seize the Power of Giving.
A NEW DECADE STRETCHES BEFORE US and you are invited to join the Community Investment Network (CIN) in clearing paths to benefit our children, families and communities.
By channeling resources to a growing network, CIN supports the philanthropy of giving circles and diverse groups of donors, grantmakers and volunteers nationwide. CIN’s mission is to inspire, connect and strengthen African Americans and communities of color to leverage their collective resources and create the change THEY wish to see.
OUR TIME HAS COME and the resounding call is unmistakable. Unprecedented challenges confronting our homes, schools, neighborhoods and economy have amplified our call to action. Extraordinary times urge ordinary people to join in bringing their gifts to bear and exercising their full power.
Members of CIN have made critical investments in their communities. The annual conference reflects the membership’s mission and values, which include:
- Investing time, talent and treasure
- Creating opportunities to learn and gain knowledge
- Connecting with people engaged in all facets of philanthropy
- Supporting projects that level the playing field
- Leveraging power by working together
Participate in CIN’s growing network of givers, doers and game-changers.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Registration for the CIN Conference is open to the public and attracts individuals, families, neighborhood associations, grassroots groups, nonprofit and human service professionals, charitable foundations and giving circles.
Each year, the CIN Conference attracts a mix of new and returning participants from across the country. Conference sessions provide insights, tools and networking opportunities for people who are:
- Involved in improving their school, neighborhood or community
- Concerned about the obstacles but unsure about leading change
- Thinking about leaving a legacy through a nonprofit, foundation or endowment
- Interested in starting a giving circle or strengthening an existing one
- Giving back through service and donations
